Become a **maker of possible** with us. **MMS BD Excellence & Business Transformation** **Overview** The BD Excellence & Business Transformation team is seeking a Business Process Excellence Sr Project Mgr for the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business unit. The Sr Project Mgr will partner with business leadership, Operations Strategy, and the BD Excellence deployment team to identify and deliver on high-impact transactional process improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic priorities of the global MMS business unit. This role will deliver best-in-class Kaizen Events, structured problem-solving support, and training programs to drive process improvement, build associate capabilities, and foster a continuous improvement culture. The role requires a highly experienced lean black belt skills and experience leading high-impact, cross-functional improvement projects, preferably in a lean business system environment. **_Key Responsibilities_** + Lead complex, large-scale process improvement initiatives that address MMS’s most significant business challenges impacting revenue, gross profit, quality, and customer experience. + Collaborate with cross-functional partners and project executive sponsors to manage initiative charters, ensuring alignment on data-based problem statements, scope, targeted outcomes, resourcing, and approach. + Facilitate structured problem solving and kaizen events for corporate processes, applying lean methodologies to knowledge based-work environments to eliminate waste and improve organizational effectiveness. + Deliver instruction and coaching of lean knowledge and skills to equip business leaders and process owners on BD Excellence problem solving and Kaizen practices and tools. + Create and deliver simple, audience-appropriate communications (e.g., emails, decks, live presentations) to share progress and results and engage team members appropriately. + Complete 30/60/90-day reviews post improvement launch to ensure process enhancements are valid and desires results are achieved; work with Process Owners and Project Sponsors to make process and accountability adjustments where necessary. + Adhere to team procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of methods, tools and techniques. + Provide coaching and mentorship to team members for skills and competencies development. + Serve as an internal change agent, promoting the objectives of the BD Excellence program, fostering a learning environment, and institutionalizing lean process and lean management practices. + May be assigned additional responsibilities related to BD Excellence transformation initiatives, such as leading training programs for MMS associates or internal improvement projects. **_Qualifications_** Education + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field. + Lean Black Belt certification is preferred. + Additional certifications in Lean other relevant improvement methodologies are a plus. + MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. Experience + 8+ years of relevant experience in Lean, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies, with at least 3 years at the Black Belt level or higher preferred. + 5+ years of experience leading successful kaizen events in corporate, non-manufacturing environments; lean-based business system context is preferred. + 2+ years of experience training or coaching structured problem solving and transactional process improvement methodologies. + 2+ years of experience managing high-visibility improvement initiatives or organizational effectiveness programs with executive-level (including C-Suite) team members. Skills + Expert knowledge of Lean and kaizen methodologies and their application to transactional processes. + Sophisticated interpersonal and English-language communication skills to influence senior leaders across a matrix organization. + Thrives in ambiguity, exhibits a strategic approach with ability to shape and implement cross-functional work independently. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. + Ability to manage multiple initiatives or projects simultaneously. + Proficiency in Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft Power tools is a plus. Key Competencies: + Demonstrates a consultative approach to problem solving, including a collaborative mindset to work effectively across diverse teams and functions. + Understands how to streamline complex processes and drive technology and process transformation using tailored facilitation, influencing, and change management skills. + Proactively partners and influences team members across a highly matrixed organization. + Has experience driving both long-term initiatives (e.g., 12+ months) and rapid process improvements (e.g., 1 week), effectively refining sub-initiatives and projects to deliver measurable outcomes along the way. + Effectively communicates – successfully managing up to the executive level and down and across to the collaborator and subject matter expert level. + Results-oriented approach with a focus on achieving measurable business outcomes. + Has a passion for enabling and empowering others to learn and apply new skills. **Location** + This is an office-based hybrid role in any of the following locations: + San Diego, CA (preferred) + Franklin Lakes, NJ + Durham, NC + Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are required in the office each week. + Travel up to 25%, mainly domestic with minimal international travel.
