About the Role: 
Business Processes Principal Consultant (HANA Platform CoE) – Customer Services and Delivery, Premium Hub Center of Expertise (CoE)

The Premium Hub Center of Expertise (CoE), a subdivision of Customer Services and Delivery Board Area. Its main goal and mission are to ensure optimal performance, availability, and smooth operation of SAP software as well as to optimize technical and business processes by delivering standard services to SAP customers.
 

As a technical expert in the CoE, you will analyze SAP solutions for our North American customers and present the results of your findings and recommendations to IT managers, project leads, and executives.

 

For this role, we are looking for passionate team members with excellent technical and communication skills. This role provides you opportunities to work with a variety of SAP products and technologies in all industry segments, cloud and on-premise. 

 

Tasks and expectations are as follows:

Act as a senior advisor to the customer’s CIO / IT department with strong technology- / operations focus, covering the entire IT department of a customer end-to-end. Understand the as-is situation and goals of a customer holistically. Translate it into an adequate technology roadmap design (processes, applications, systems) as well as the appropriate operating concept based on SAP’s offerings.  Drive knowledge management and innovation activities with customers. Document successful approaches, tools, etc. and makes them available to colleagues at SAP. Collaborate and co-innovate with the respective SAP development teams. To meet the challenging requirements, you should be a quick learner with strong analytical skills. You should also be creative, open-minded, and possess the ability to communicate and convince others based on technical facts and details.

 

Required Experience: 
This position is targeted toward the Technology & Performance CoE, HANA Platform Team in the Premium Hub Center of Expertise (CoE) in North America.

Bachelor’s degree in science, or engineering (in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics & Electrical, or other engineering fields)  Minimum Job Experience: 8-10 Years Thereof in a relevant position at SAP: 5 Years Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and management, both internal and external. Strong computer science fundamental skills such as computer architecture, network, storage, virtualization, container concept, cloud computing, etc. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. Willing to travel to SAP customers in North America. Occasional weekend work may be required.

 

Minimum 5 years of experience in Database Architecture and Administration with a focus on SAP HANA and SAP HANA Cloud

 

Architecture and Infrastructure Design and Realization  Troubleshooting, root cause analysis on SAP HANA Database administration and maintenance High Availability and Disaster Recovery, concept, setup, and monitoring Migration to SAP HANA Cloud  Technical Performance Monitoring and Tuning

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 119,300 - 251,900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
