You will play a crucial part in providing direct administrative support to departments, ensuring the effective control, replacement, and disposal of county assets. Responsibilities will encompass asset tagging, inventory management and auditing, record-keeping, technical analysis of projects and programs, ledger reconciliation, crafting and interpreting policies and procedures, training, and the generation of accounting reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen understanding of Fixed Assets procedures, a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making. Apply today!Manage Asset Disposal Program and annual inventory program by reviewing and making recommendations and resolves elevated problems and issues; while ensuring updated compliance documents are compiled and provides written finding to management. Oversees the other governmental and not-for-profit programs ensuring compliance with asset disposal requirements. Researches, analyzes, interprets, and compiles supporting documentation ensuring compliance with statutorily & process requirements for new and disposed assets for BOCC Departments and Elected Officials.
Reviews auctions and associated contracts for compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, while maximizing revenues. Reviews, researches and analyses annual inventory audit and reconciliation results provided by external contractor. Provides findings to department heads and elected officials.
Provides written recommendations, updates, and edits for division documents, such as, Resolutions, Capital Asset Manual, Financial Software processes, and other documents as may be required.
Reviews and researches organization wide capital asset requisitions (for Operating and CIP) for policy compliance in ONESolution.
Provides training to the Fixed Asset Designees by acting as the lead from the work unit for coaching, mentoring & training of county employees by aiding in a lead capacity to the organization.
Supports the work unit through research, prepare, design, and distribute complex reports relating to Operating and CIP Purchase Orders, County Inventory Reports and provides feedback to customers. Acts as leads for special projects or unit activities.
E-Work/Hybrid Work: Currently this position is eligible to e-work up to 2 days per week! After you complete your first six months, contingent on work requirements and other factors, you’ll be eligible for this fantastic benefit.

An Associate degree with three (3) years experience.-OR- A Bachelor’s degree in related field and one-year experience preferred. Five (5) years professional experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.About Everything ElseStarting Pay Range: $25.45 - $28.00, based on experience.
