The client is growing their business architecture team to support two large projects.
Project 1: working on a strategy workshop in a multiple workshop scenario, running from Jan-May. This will be for the mechanical vertical (5 opco’s) in an exec steerco structure.
Project 2: #1 priority- this is for the entire life safety US Business and will be an entire multi review for 15-16 pain points that have been identified across the Life Safety Op CO's. This will be run in a multi sprint agile framework (rinse and repeat in 30 day cycle) and will consist of interviewing OpCo executives, conducting workshops with them, and then giving them information they can start working with. Won’t be putting together firm recommendations, rather will be working with company presidents and VP’s to have high level discussions around meeting the clients financial targets and helping the OpCo leaders align with the clients strategic goals. The objectives and tasks will be identified through interviews and workshops. This project team will then help the OpCo's make decisions to tackle challenges. Looking to start this project by end of Jan and will run through mid-late July.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee a strategy workshop effort within our Business Architecture Team. This business and people-focused role involves coordinating a multi-sprint initiative that is integral to developing, overseeing, and implementing strategic frameworks aimed at enhancing our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing fast-paced, highly visible, multiple sprint projects, with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Execution: Develop, manage, and execute a multi-sprint project plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of the Business Architecture Team and its Customers.
• Sprint Management: Oversee multiple sprints by creating timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Workshop Coordination: Organize strategy workshops, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Business Architecture Team, cross-functional teams, senior management, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved within scope, budget, and timeframes.
• Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring team members are aligned with project goals and deliverables.
• Performance Monitoring: Track project progress and performance, utilizing KPIs and other metrics to assess project health and implement necessary adjustments.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating meetings as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by incorporating feedback and lessons learned into future project planning and execution.
• Change Management: Effectively manage any changes introduced by the project, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum acceptance among stakeholders and team members.
• Budget Management: Manage and monitor the project budget, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with financial objectives and constraints. Provide regular updates and forecasts to the clients lead Business Architect.
Required skills:
• PMP or other relevant project management certification
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a Business Architecture or strategic planning
environment.
• Experience using Agile methodologies with Scrum framework
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with strategy workshops or similar facilitation roles.
• Experience acting as a liaison between Business and IT
• Understanding of Business Architecture principles and practices is a plus

- Project Management experience in a large enterprise environment working on the business side (not a technology project)
- Excellent organization skills
- Experience gathering stakeholders, communicating updates to them (nearly all are high level execs)
- Experience coordinating workshop structure, managing daily risks and determining course of action, managing resources to ensure deliverables are met, measuring progress to ensure the team is on time an don budget.
- experience participating in workshops with an audience of VP's/executives
- would highly prefer someone who has exposure to business architecture

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $95.00
