Yahoo Finance is one of the largest business and financial news site in the world, with unrivalled access to data, insights and original editorial content. 

We are looking for a bright, dynamic reporter with knowledge of business and finance to bring their unique voice to our audience. The candidate should be able to write intelligently and authentically about markets, economics and personal finance. The ideal candidate should be able to synthesise important topics into a narrative that captures the big picture in a way that is clear to understand. Some broadcast experience is preferable. This is a hybrid role with some office presence in London required.

Responsibilities:

Report and write on all current financial market news

Be comfortable writing a finance live blog 

Report and write stories that will engage readers online 

Develop innovative ways to tell stories, using the latest technology platforms 

Analyse companies and markets data and synthesise arguments

This role will also see you partner with other Yahoo Finance editorial teams around the world – particularly the US – to share your content, ideas and expertise.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 2 to 3 years business reporting experience 

Excellent knowledge of financial markets and passion for the field of financial reporting

The ability to report competitively but accurately 

The ability to write clearly 

The ability to work collegially and collaboratively with members of the team 

A strong desire to innovate

B.A. or equivalent degree, as well as media law training and preferably NCTJ trained
