+ Regularly review program financial statements and ensure fiscal viability
+ Facilitate fiscal and financial planning and financial analysis, as needed
+ Partner, collaborate, and provide direction to internal and external stakeholders and partners on financial management, administration, and operations
**Operations and Compliance - 60%**
+ Oversee and direct all program fiscal, human resources, administrative and operational activities
+ Work in a dyadic partnership with the Director for all activities within ACCORDS
+ Engage in development activities related to finding new or expanded funding sources and opportunities
+ Represent ACCORDS to visitors, clients, the media and the public and serve as a Public Relations liaison for constituents
+ Oversee development of grant application budgets with principal investigators; oversee the division team preparation of grant applications and ensure all university and grantor guidelines for submission are met
+ Oversee compliance processes for faculty and staff to ensure requirements are met per university policies and procedures (COI disclosures, PRISM updates, required trainings, etc.)
+ Engage in strategic planning and execution of the ACCORDS vision and mission in partnership with the Director
+ Oversee daily program activities, including but not limited to: purchasing and accounting, personnel oversight, facilities and space management, health and safety issues, access approval, and campus security

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university
+ Four (4) years of broad and diversified professional level management experience that included fiscal management responsibilities within a complex health care, academic or biomedical research setting
+ Three (3) years of research administration experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's degree in business, business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or a directly related field
+ Eight (8) years of experience working in a health care or academic medical setting
+ Six (6) years of experience in research proposal development and financial grant management with varying federal funders.
+ Experience working with central grants and contracts office
+ Change management and strategic team development experience in a rapid growth setting

+ Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, schools, department directors, administrators, managers, and other stakeholders and partners
+ Highly organized and makes use of digital project management programs for efficiency and successful execution of tasks
+ Knowledge of, and ability to apply, diversified financial management skills
+ Ability to manage funds effectively, from a variety of sources
+ Knowledge of and ability to apply, accepted theories, practices and principles of general management and administration, and possess sufficient advanced knowledge of the workings of an academic health campus to apply these general principles thereto
+ Ability to communicate effectively in brief, focused and well organized oral and written presentations
+ Ability to establish work priorities and provide follow-through to ensure completion of activities, both personally and in subordinates
+ Ability to plan and organize, implement and coordinate financial and administrative activities, as they apply to the complex workings of the Center

The position serves as the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) for the Adult & Child Center for Health Outcomes Research & Delivery Science (ACCORDS) which resides in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The DFA is responsible for the overall financial management and administrative functions of the ACCORDS Program. The DFA works directly with the ACCORDS Director and leadership to fulfill the program's goals and objectives while ensuring that the program operates in accordance with University policies and procedures and School of Medicine (SOM) rules. The DFA is responsible for managing the day-to-day and long-term operations of the work unit. This position is responsible for the administration of financial, personnel, research and administrative operations of the ACCORDS Program. The DFA reports directly to the ACCORDS Director and has a dotted reporting relationship to the School of Medicine Senior Associate Dean of Administration and FinanceThe DFA directly and indirectly supervises program administrative staff This description is a summary only and describes the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. ACCORDS uses a lifecycle approach to research from idea inception, to grant submission, grant award and budget management, to study execution, and dissemination.
