Job Purpose
• Provides business analysis support and guidance to the Business Units in response to user needs and requests and works closely with vendors to implement solutions or system enhancements. This includes conducting in-depth client requirement reviews and contributing to the development of business cases for review and approval.
Major Responsibilities
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering procedural information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Designs program automation by analyzing requirements, constructing workflows, studying system capabilities and writing specifications.
• Recommends system Improvements by studying current practices and designing modifications.
• Defines project requirements by identifying phases, elements and reporting milestones; forms the project team and establishes project budget requirements
• Monitors project progress by tracking activities; recommends actions to addresses project adjustments and issues and provides progress reports to the stakeholders
• Writes and maintains application software documentation to include user guides, application changes, known issues, problems and resolutions for future reference and provides knowledge transfer and training to users and Production Support.
• Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing IT application software and takes lead in application software projects and initiatives;
• Provides advice to business users on the effective use of application software;
• Collaborates with the Production Support Analyst, application software vendors and third party software developers on;
• Conducts Systems Integration Testing and Oversees User Acceptance Testing;
• Provides check and balance to maintain Information security in application software systems.
• Documents and updates related Information Systems support procedures in the Information Technology Service Management manual
• Prepares annual budgetary requirements for new application systems or enhancements
• Develop relations with business units and the out sourced application service providers.
• Comply with internal and external policies and regulations;
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
