Make a Difference
As a Business Specialist, you will support business planning and performance delivery activities, working within the Business Planning and Performance Chapter Area. This role sits in Strategy and Finance.
You will provide business insights through analysing, forecasting, reporting and monitoring the delivery of our strategy. You will support annual and quarterly planning activities, drawing on your expertise in analytical and reporting solutions, based on the understanding you have of the planning and performance ecosystems (Microsoft Suite, Confluence and Workday). Your ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment will be crucial. You will play a key role in organising and scheduling meetings and forums with senior stakeholders, managing shared team mailbox and foster an environment of team building (Microsoft Outlook & MS Teams).

As a Business Specialist, you apply your experience and expertise in planning, performance and reporting and insights to deliver on the following responsibilities:
Annual & Quarterly Planning Cadence support and administration
Support the implementation of our business planning cycle, including orchestration and support for the Functions’ execution of the required planning activities to the defined timelines to deliver their business planning outcomes (Confluence & Workday)
Organise and schedule meetings and forums with senior stakeholders to senior leadership team level including (agenda, virtual meetings sessions, time, attendees, permissions setup) (Microsoft Outlook & MS Teams)
Facilitate Agile practices within the team, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and coordination of deliverables, ensuring timely and efficient project execution (Jira)
Participate in the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, by executing test cases, reporting testing and defect activities, and validating system functionalities to ensure solutions met business needs (Confluence, Workday and other planning or performance solutions as required)
Manage shared team mailbox including email preparation, review and response (Microsoft Outlook)
Organise and facilitate team building fortnightly calls (Microsoft Outlook & MS Teams)
Reporting & Insights
Support ongoing data refresh and troubleshooting for dashboards in Excel and Power BI, used to provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision making
Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for strategic milestones, metrics and Company Objective insights (including reporting for senior leadership) using Excel, Confluence & Power BI
Analyse strategic performance against plan and develop insights for weekly senior leadership forum in conjunction with key stakeholders
Serve as the primary interface between business units and the central planning team to translate process requirements and deliverable templates for business user understanding and execution
About you
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
2+ years experience in tracking the delivery of a strategy in a telecommunications organisation
2+ years experience in both quarterly and annual planning for a large organisation that is cross functional in nature
Experience in building and maintaining complex data and reporting, utilising Excel and Power BI
Highly desirable – experience using and building systems in Confluence
Highly desirable – tertiary qualifications in Business Information Systems or similar
Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation – Excel & Power BI
Gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements – planning and performance systems.
Planning and conducting UAT to validate system functionalities.
Analysing and optimizing business processes for enhanced efficiency – Excel, Power BI, Confluence & Microsoft Forms
Liaising between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Agile practices, including sprint planning and backlog management - Jira
