Business Strategy & Analytics Internship (Part-Time)

Job Summary:\n

The St. Louis Cardinals are seeking candidates for our Business Strategy & Analytics Internship position. The Business Strategy & Analytics department works cross functionally with our Marketing, Ticketing, Production & Corporate Partnership teams to drive revenue growth & optimization. This intern will support the Business Strategy & Analytics department in both developing dashboards, models, and statistical analysis as well as supporting long-term planning, change management, and strategic communications efforts to assist the Cardinals in all aspects of business operations and decision making. \n

Job Duties:\n\nAssist with querying and cleaning data from relational databases and other non-standard sources.\nAssist with building dashboards for stakeholders across the organization, which allow us to understand performance of departments, progress against key initiatives, and provide insights that drive decision making from stakeholders. \nSupport the creation of predictive models to improve ticket sales, optimize marketing campaigns, and enhance operations and guest experience.\nSupport 2025 and 2026 strategic planning efforts across various departments within the organization.\nDevelop presentations and communications materials to relay key data-driven insights and facilitate cross-functional decision making.\n\n

Education and Experience Required:\n\nCurrent undergraduate enrollment in an accredited program at a college or University with a degree emphasis in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum Junior level status\nComfortable working in both group and individual settings\nKnowledge of SQL\nFamiliarity with R or Python\nFamiliarity with statistical modeling and implementation of modeling.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to explain technical data components to nontechnical users\nStrong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nPassion for sports and\/or baseball\n\n

Education and Experience Preferred:\n\nFamiliarity with data visualization program (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker)\nKnowledge with R or Python\nAbility to summarize complex ideas and data into digestible, concise insights\nExperience creating project plans or roadmaps\nExperience developing and delivering presentations to audiences with diverse functional backgrounds\nStrong executive communications and presentation skills\nFamiliarity with Agile\/SAFe\n
