Overview:
This position will be responsible for providing an advanced level of support to the Dealer Services Division, which consists of Indirect Consumer Lending (Auto and RecFi), as well as the Dealer Commercial Services (DCS). Responsible for providing high level analytical expertise in the ongoing securitization efforts across Dealer Services. Works closely with business leadership and functional experts from other teams; convenes teams to accomplish goals. Influences peers on surrounding teams.
Primary Responsibilities:Provide analytical support for Indirect Auto Securitization efforts, including analysis of loan portfolios to determine optimal structures. Apply critical thinking to independently navigate problems/issues.Manage multiple internal and external workstreams as related to securitization efforts that may include rating agencies, legal, auditors, investment banks, technology, and potential bond buyers.Partner across Dealer Services teams, Credit, Risk, Finance, and Treasury to expand origination of products that align with investor demand to increase profitability of loan sales.Bank-wide or divisional projects may include planning, design and analysis of results, develop comprehensive documentation to align with regulatory expectations as needed,Participate in the planning and implementation of new products, programs and initiatives to achieve short and long-term business objectives and strategic outcomes. Support development of project roadmaps and plans.Develop and produce complex ad hoc and automated departmental analyses and reports (incl. workflow analysis, project analysis, trend reporting, strategic analysis, other…). Ability to synthesize large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information for analysis and decision making.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities:Work leadership responsibilities. May indirectly manage other team members as it relates to specific projects.
Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years higher education and/or work experienceStrong attention to detail; ability to work independently and function as a member of a teamStrong analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal skills necessary for business partner relationships within and outside the organization; strong written, and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, results driven, and well organized; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints in support of various assignmentsHighly proficient with personal computers and spreadsheet, database, graphing, and presentation softwareEducation and Experience Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration and 5 years of relevant work experience,Experience with securitization, financial analysis, regulatory analysis, or process analysis. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD).
