The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation. GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.
Provides Gorilla Glass business with sustainable competitive advantage in global supply chain management. Defines and executes the division’s supply chain roadmap, assuring successful operational performance of the supply base, understanding of the product’s demand profile, and interface across functional, business and regional leadership. Aligns supply chain capabilities to the current and future needs of the business and operations. Manages supply chain from end-to-end (supplier to customer) to enable sustainable competitive advantage. Works proactively with cross-functional teams to meet business needs, improve customer satisfaction and supply chain performance. Specific to Gorilla Glass business, develops and executes global supply chain strategy with large scale 3rd party Contract Manufacturers to support overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and executes global 3rd party Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain strategies to successfully division product portfolio. Evaluates and recommends how to optimize the global capacity, capability and cost opportunities within supply chains to meet global customer needs and program requirements. Works collaboratively with supply chain operation team to: Define and communicate the local, regional and global roles and responsibilities to deliver the supply chain strategy. Manage and communicate global capacity models for the purpose of capacity planning. Aggregate global demand information and facilitate global loading of facilities as appropriate. Achieve SCM/CM KPIs Ensure supply chain/CM strategy is well understood, internalized and executed. Lead and manage CM relationship/partnership to ensure business commitment and cost/operation performance. Assure required CM resources and investment to support operation excellence. Maximizes scalability and adaptability to change, including market and business needs. Supports strategic alignment with product life cycle(s). Leads projects to identify, systemize, and deploy functional best practices across the globe (e.g. systems integration and optimization, inventory control, demand planning, SKU optimization). Manage and optimize a global supply chain/logistics network with one or more distribution centers. Insures all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines. Tracks, communicates, and supports key metrics to achieve product team goals and objectives.Performance Metrics:

• Financial Management
Has a thorough understanding of a business unit’s financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow). Interprets key suppliers financial statements to assess a suppliers financial health along with critical financial trends. Contributes to improved revenue and profitability through the use of strong financial management skills and knowledge. Provides inputs, develops, and/or manages within financial plans, (e.g. Project Plans, Forecasts, Budgets, Appropriation Requests, Departmental Budgets, 5 year plans).• Matrix Management

Has significant experience with managing complex global 3rd party Contract Manufacturing turnkey models. Has significant experience with technology transfer, IP management, negotiations, supplier relationship management, new business development, line capture, manufacturing services, and embedded resource strategy. Executes supply chain strategies across all levels of an organization. Seeks opportunities to shape functional or business strategies by leveraging supply market opportunities. Continually monitors the business environment and understands the impact of major changes on demand and supply profiles.Experiences/Education/Skills:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree or above (Technical, Business or Supply Chain). MBA degree is a plus Minimum 15 years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions such as global sourcing/SC leader or regional head for global leading OEM/ODM/Brand company. 8 years or above in management position and 5 year or above in senior leadership role Global work experience, working across regions and cultures. Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments. Experience managing or leading supply chain strategies involving large scale 3rd party contract manufacturers. Global work experience, working across regions and cultures Experience in Sourcing/SC/Operation for display/touch panel manufacturing/cover glass/mechanics is preferred. Experience in Consumer Electronics or Hitech industry or large OEM/ODM service providers is highly preferred. Strong skills in people management, communication and interpersonal interaction, able to lead a large team in a dynamic/fast changing environment Strategic thinking to facilitates win-win situation Supplier relationship and performance management Strong negotiation and good financial knowledge to perform total cost management Cost and Contract management Lead for project/product life cycle management; NPI, MP to EOL experience in supply/manufacturing process and governance.Desired
Master’s in Business or Supply Chain Management. Supply Chain Certification LEAN or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience Experience with Corning’s Supply Chain Model will be a plus (Demand Planning, Sourcing, Supply Planning & Execution, Logistics, Network Planning, and Contract Manufacturing). Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies.

The range for this position is $191,734.00 - $263,634.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
