The Planning Enforcement and Trees team is responsible for the investigation and resolution of breaches of planning control, and for maintaining the Council's tree stock and dealing with all matters relating to tr ee protection. We are looking for someone to assist the delivery of the Council's planning enforcement service. This role includes undertaking site visits and investigating suspected breaches of planning control, and assisting the Council to regularise c onfirmed breaches of planning control either by successful negotiation or by use of enforcement action. The postholder must be a good team worker, self motivated and self disciplined. Excellent customer care skills, diplomacy, and an ability to handle c onflict are essential to this role. Previous experience in a planning enforcement role would be beneficial, although training opportunities will be available to the right candidate.
