Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration. 

What will you do?

Define and finetune scope for real-time fraud detection application by collaborating with various stakeholders in an agile environmentDefine functional and non-functional requirements using user stories, use cases, business context diagrams, business process maps etc.Design and document data flowsDevelop comprehensive Data DictionariesCollaborate with Architects, BAs and Dev teams of Fraud as well as upstream application groups in defining various transactional custom data schemas based on the business stakeholder requirements (interfacing data schemas)Analyze and document system requirements related to legal, compliance and fraud prevention. Work closely with technology team to ensure the delivery of high quality integrations that meet all functional and non-functional requirementsManage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies both within fraud and external teams.Support QA and Business stakeholders in defining/executing test plan/cases for FST and UAT during both E2E and internal validation cycles (including external certifications)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Relevant Business Systems Analyst experience in a large-scale corporate context (5+ or more years of relevant experience in this role).Solid SQL skillsAbility to gather functional business process requirements and contribute to translating user requests into technical specificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsLegal/Fraud Detection/Detective mindsetStrong analytical and problem solving skillsUnderstanding of legal frameworks, risk management, compliance, fraud detectionBachelor's Degree in related fieldStrong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical sessions.Demonstrated ability to learn new process, applications and systemsWorking knowledge of APIs, Kafka, SQL, Elasticsearch and/or data scienceExposure to Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and SAFeExperience utilizing Confluence, JIRA, Visio and/or Lucidchart

Nice to have

Exposure to Canadian retail and commercial banking domainWorking Knowledge of ISO20022 payment messagesCBAP, Agile Certifications
