The Business Systems Analyst supports the Animal Science Center's (ASC) financial and business systems, serving as the lead liaison with the center's Animal Operations software system (AOPs). This role will liaise in troubleshooting software issues, training users, and enhancing he AOPs systems, which manages animal census collection, various support services, and the associated billing for these services. This system is also used for the ordering, receiving and transfers of animals for the department. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and Administration, and collaborates with the team in developing departmental procedures, reports, and guidelines needed to maintain the financial billing of the department. This person will work closely with departmental finance and operations teams, the universitys IS&T team, and the external software developer, Huron, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AOPs and future business systems. This individual will leverage technical expertise and logical problem-solving skills to understand the centers needs while analyzing the data and software to maximize productivity of ASC AOPs. The Business Systems Analyst will incorporate ASCs strategies and objectives in implementing other hard and software that will improve processes across the department. AOPs users will require support and training both initially and after software upgrades. This position serves as the client lead and will propose key system decisions.
