Currently assigned to the WPAFB to support the SAF/FM Systems contract. Primary role of Functional Expert; may hold secondary roles of Training Support and Help Desk Support. Responsible for providing functional expertise in the areas of requirements analysis and development for SAF/FM Systems application and training.

Must maintain proficiency in his/her field by obtaining/maintaining skill levels as necessary Employee independently identifies and resolves conventional problems which may require deviations from accepted policies or instructions.

Work consists of a variety of duties that involve many different and unrelated processes and methods pertinent to this field. Provides functional leadership and guidance to peer and junior project staff in every aspect of the SAF/FMP Systems. In developer meetings and peer reviews to discuss best practices When working on complex assignments share lessons learned During requirement analysis, instruct methods of eliciting and capturing requirements Interacts with the project manager, and the Government customer to identify and define project requirements. Attends functional requirements review boards Participates in and leads SAF/FMP requirements review meeting to validate requirements Supports project lead/project manager in project planning and risk identification Supports the use of project schedules for management of projects by planning work based on project schedules, and its impact to a project’s critical path, and by identifying changes to the schedule for the way work is being performed and new work required Interprets requirements and through analysis, allocates requirements to specific components and subsystems of SAF/FMP Systems. Develops curriculum to meet differentiating groups of end-users, TEIMS developer, and functional area experts select by the SAF/FMP. Conducts training requirements sessions with SAF/FMPand users to identify and define training topics that meet specific group needs Designs modular training components to met course requirements identified Creates lesson plans outlining activities that must be accomplished to meet course objectives Creates training course materials to support modular training. Develops presentation slides that follow course abstract and application processes for use in delivering class objectives Authors and modifies training manual content to support class lesson plans Creates and validates program test scenarios to verify unit, integration, and system levels of product testing. When required, assists the SAF/FMP in Government Acceptance Testing. Takes on role of software test manager when needed Updates test scripts based on changes to code/database Performs data analysis if needed by the SAF/FMP during Government Acceptance Testing Communicates test failure severity to SAF/FMP and helps determine when correction will occur Authors, implements, and follows formal CMMI procedures in requirements management, software quality assurance, software configuration management, and software project planning.
