Business Systems Analyst

The Business System Analyst serves as a liaison between the Business/Product and development team. This individual will interface with internal team members on technical requirements, including configuration of platforms, supporting API integrations, website design to develop and deliver scalable, extensible, and sustainable solutions. This role supports an oversight of support tickets and monitoring. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Takes business/product needs/wants & translates those needs into measurable technical requirements that can be documented, coded, tested, & successfully implemented & adopted for products/applications to meet expectations. 

Defines, analyzes & proposes business solutions based on the business needs. 

May review/validate test plans and ensure that the end result meets the specified business requirements. 

Define, analyze and design web applications and write system requirements to enable development. 

Work with UI/UX design teams to come up with wireframes and mockups. 

Supports Quality Assurance activities as needed. 

Ability to configure business rules to enable workflows. 

Validates & ensures that the proposed solution meets the stakeholders’ needs. 

May lead collaboration between cross-functional integrated teams to address business & adoption issues (e.g., user experience, data flow, process flow). 

Serves as a key resource by providing input into the development of new feature/product enhancements. 

Extensive knowledge of data & performing SQL queries for analysis and investigation. 

Recommend changes in product, process, and service offerings; presents high-level benefits of recommendation and explains rationale for selection over alternative solutions. 

Follow established release management guidelines. 

Guide and oversee acceptance and functional testing; coordinate UAT testing with QA and business/product team. 

Demonstrate product and service offerings for customers and end users. 

 

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience 

 

Critical Skills: 

4+ years' experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology.  

4+ years' experience using SQL, software configuration, validation, and testing tools.  

4+ years' experience in business analysis, data analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems. 

4+ years’ experience with SDLC in an Agile environment.  

4+ years' experience using HTML, JSP and Java.  

4+ years' experience working with cloud technologies like GCP, Azure or equivalent. 

4+ years of Business Systems Requirements gathering experience.  

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 

Understanding of data & performing SQL queries for analysis and investigation. 

Must maintain sufficient business and technical expertise to be comfortable communicating business and technical requirements with a wide audience. 

Analytical skills to problem solving to deal with complex business problems. 

Detailed oriented, highly collaborative, and persistent in the face of obstacles or challenges. 

In-depth knowledge of Application administration, security, standard/custom product offerings, and release management and sandbox environments. 

Ability to effectively produce requirement documents and functional documents. 

Technical knowledge of products including the platforms and rules engines used to operate our solutions. 

Experience working with PL/SQL code. 

 

Additional knowledge & Skills: 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including but not limited to facilitating meetings both in person and virtual settings as well as strong presentation skills.  

Prior experience with Atlassian suite of tools such as JIRA and Confluence  

Enthusiastic, self-starter with confident, high-energy approach to business challenges

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$80,300 - $133,800
