Position Overview

This is a hybrid position- 3 days onsite (Kent, OH) 2 days offsite

Under general supervision, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing SAP configuration and production support for systems related activities for SAP FI/CO Module; coordinating projects with management, users, and vendors; serves as a project leader, with overall responsibility for project implementation; client support includes continual analysis of departmental systems with focus on adding value to all processes; produces training for new processes; other duties as assigned.

 

The position reports to the Systems & Process Manager

 

Job Duties

Major Functions:

Configuration of SAP applications Coordinates application enhancements to existing computer systems Integration of SAP and other related software products Serve as project coordinator for in-house development or implementation of vendor-based systems Formulates system scope and design objectives through research and fact-finding to configure vendor-maintained systems or develop and modify in-house systems Prepares detailed specifications from which vendor systems are configured and/or programs written Works with other team members to determine the overall effect of changes and enhancements system-wide Testing functionality and training end users on new and current functionality Insures that users are kept informed of all system updates Provides training and development support to users Update on-line scripts to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures or policies Creating program specifications Conducts preliminary investigation for all project requests and general support issues Reviews requirements and specifications to make sure they are in line with business objectives  Analyzes and documents problem, recommends solution, initiates corrective actions Provides project management and support for computerized departmental systems and related projects Working with developers through testing and completion Insures that updates are fully tested before moving to the Live directory Acts as primary contact for all application systems problems. Follows up on problem resolution and informs of status Qualifications Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred One to five years experience in the field/related field Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels within the company Self starter with strong work ethic SAP version 4.6c experience or higher SAP hands-on configuration experience and daily production support in FI and CO, integration with Payroll, integration with SD, and multiple currencies Maintain excellent project management practices Must be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented collaborative environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, complex tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate  Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Utilize instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Possess strong organizational and phone skills and possess an ability to prioritize time sensitive matters To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and database applications Additional Information
