The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) is responsible for overseeing the technical execution of one to many projects and tasks in varying IT areas such as application development, application support, systems administration, business intelligence, network administration and others. In addition to coordination and oversight of technical tasks during the execution phase of the project, the Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) will be responsible for gathering and documenting customer requirements by interviewing and understanding customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT practices and terminology in order to be knowledgeable enough to know when to raise questions in order to correctly drive the project execution tasks to completion. The candidate will need to be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist with strong communication skills, specifically seeking an environment where they will impact the direction of the organization, and be a key contributor to overall success of the business. The pace is exceptionally fast at SNC, and our dynamic environment will see many new projects in the coming year. Responsibilities:

Perform more complex analysis and design of business processes and systems, often with a focus on technology implementation and integrationCoordinate and oversee technical tasks during the execution phase of the projectGather and document customer requirements by interviewing and understanding customer needsIdentify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specificationsScale new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective mannerConfigure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements; designs details of automated systemsNavigate an exceptionally fast and dynamic environment where changes are certain and frequent, resulting in many new projects which require agility and flexibility

Must-haves:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experiencrRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationWorking knowledge of ERP systems and processesUnderstanding of Order to Cash process flowsBusiness knowledge to work directly with clients to solve their business-related problemsStrong understanding of IT practices and terminologyInnovative and capable technologist with strong communication skillsAbility to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address process improvementsBasic experience with writing SQL and understanding the basics of table querying for use in documenting data requirements

Preferred:

Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address process improvementsAbility to obtain a Scrum Master certificationStrong knowledge of requirements documentation tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, Jira, and/or Azure DevOpsExperience with data mapping and documentation of system integration metadata and touchpoints necessary for implementationBasic experience with writing SQL and understanding the basics of table querying for use in documenting data requirementsStrong knowledge of project planning and execution, using tools such as MS ProjectUnderstanding of analysis and software development lifecycle methodologiesStrong presentation, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
