Department Overview
Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) plays a role in the success of Michigan Medicine by providing clinicians, educators, researchers, students, and staff with technology-related information, products, and support. HITS also provides institutional expertise related to IT strategy, security, infrastructure, and resource management.
Division Overview
The HITS Clinical & Revenue Cycle IT (CRC) division is responsible for more than 350 clinical and revenue cycle applications that clinicians, staff, and patients rely upon every day. The CRC team has subdivisions that support inpatient, ambulatory, departmental, and revenue cycle areas across Michigan Medicine (MM). CRC also oversees many of the major IT platforms and applications such as the electronic health record, virtual care, pharmacy, radiology, radiation oncology, registration, document management, billing, and much more. The CRC team is highly relied upon across the healthcare system and collaborates with operational partners to provide excellent service to the MM staff. Staff within CRC often interact with customers on a regular basis by implementing and configuring workflows, enhancements, optimizations, and new modules or software while also ensuring adequate change control and testing processes occur. Team members work on a vast array of projects that propel MM into the future.
As an application systems analyst on the Cadence Team, you would help configure, update, and support the appointment scheduling and related features in our MiChart Epic vendor application. This includes gathering and documenting requirements, assessing feasibility, determining implementation options, working with the vendor to build and test features, releasing them to users, and providing ongoing support. This position works with other analysts and with people from operational and clinical areas to support users and applications.

There will be times that it will be appropriate for you to work from home. There will be other times that you will be required to work onsite for meetings and in-person investigation. On-Call rotation is required for this position.
