Business Systems Analyst V

Job Summary:

This position has oversight for the analysis and translation of business needs into business/technical requirements. Leads teams and other resources to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business requirements for complex issues (quantity and magnitude). Acts as a representative of IT to the Enterprise regarding Enterprise Initiatives.Leads and owns the analysis of complex issues and coordinates the documentation of business needsOversees the creation of technical documents and high level solution designsOversees the development, testing and implementation of system specifications.Recommends best practices for delivering business solutionsActs as Subject Matter Expert in systems and technologiesCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Certification or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) strongly preferred. If you do not have either certification it is strongly preferred that you obtain one within 18 months of hire.


Facilitator Specific Requirements:

Plans and designs meetings, clarifies purpose of meetings and the desired outcomesLeads meetings, guides participants, organizes content, keeps group on track regarding meeting agenda(s) and deliverables with the goal of achieving a productive resultClarifies communication between people, draws out opinions, and encourages full participation from all team members- Skilled at building rapport, active listening, and reading the underlying dynamics of the group


 

Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred or relevant work experience required in lieu of degree.Note that licensing requirements still apply for internal candidates.Graduate studies or professional development activities preferred


Work Experience:

8+ years of related IT work experience preferably in the health insurance industryDemonstrated experience in a key lead role in major company initiatives and demonstrated leadership experienceDemonstrated progression of professional responsibility

Special Licensing or certifications:

Professional Certification preferred


Knowledge:

Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologiesRequires strong ability to apply structure to loosely defined complex problemsDemonstrates understanding of core business functions


Skills:

Requires skillful project execution experience and knowledgeRequires excellent verbal and written communication skillsRequires knowledge of programming, development, and technical architecture

Salary Range:

$106,400 - $145,215

​This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.  This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
