Aspirus is currently seeking a BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION COACH in Wausau, Wisconsin. The Business Transformation (BTx) Coach is accountable for applying continuous process improvement (CPI) and project management (PM) principles to improve operational and strategic goals by leading high impact projects and building system capabilities in applying contemporary theory and tools. The person in this role partners with operational and strategic business leaders to transform care delivery thereby improving the patient’s experience, making more efficient use of resources, and removing obstacles to staff performance.
This position coordinates and leads problem solving initiatives in different parts of the Aspirus system, implementing high impact solutions. The BTx Coach utilizes continuous improvement methods, problem solving and project management tools, and leadership and change management techniques as well as training, coaching, and influence skills to achieve specific enterprise-wide performance metrics. The BTx Coach is responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring leaders, providers, and staff on problem solving and continuous improvement mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets. As part of the Business Transformation Team, this position supports strategic efforts aligned with system and business unit operating plans, including completion of high impact projects across the organization.
Hours: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management tools, and when and how to use them, normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Excellence, or other related profession.American Society for Quality Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification desired.A minimum of three years of continuous improvement and/or project management experience.Training individuals in an interactive setting on the use of basic continuous improvement tools and principles (such as 5S, process mapping, or elements typically included in Yellow Belt training).Coaching individuals in the selection and use of appropriate problem-solving tools.Leading/managing a portfolio of projects. This should include 6-12 projects using recognized approaches (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, PDSA, Agile, etc.) affecting key outcomes.Strong competence in influencing without authority others’ work and actions.Comfort and competence with data collection, analysis, and display using basic statistics and graphing techniques Microsoft Excel (using applications such as Microsoft Excel or Minitab). Demonstrates emotional intelligence skills needed to effectively “read a room” and engage diverse groups of people comfortably.Proficient at influencing without authority to drive action and initiatives forward.Possesses exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.Has a track record of and desire for investing in and developing others.Responds to changing or shifting priorities, pivoting as needed.
