Business & UAT Analyst

What’s this role about? The Business & UAT Analyst is responsible for supporting business operations, analyzing requirements, ensuring system functionality, and validating user acceptance through rigorous testing. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring new systems or updates align with regulatory requirements and improve efficiency in underwriting, claims, and policy administration.
Key Responsibilities Plan, monitor and control UAT activities across both Commercial and Consumer, for both systems and products Create test cases based on specified requirements and user stories Research test data and create or manage the UAT test cases Verify any changes to existing information and ensure that all necessary data is available Ensure the test cases are complete, accurate, and up-to-date Communicate changes to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scope to all stakeholders. Produce and implement a User Testing Acceptance framework to be used by both Commercial and Consumer across the Singapore Branch Working with the Operations Lead, produce policies and standards for testing in both a test environment and production environment Working with the business run tests on individual components and end to end regression testing Document and track risks and issues identified/experienced in testing As part of any system implementation, complete Live (Production)Verification and validate application functionality and usability prior to broader use by all users Discover defects in code or design flaws before launch of system or products Coordinate test execution and test resources on various platforms with different devices Execute effective tests based on project and product manager input Work closely with project managers or product owners to discuss project status and any [potential] issues that may arise Document UAT results and provide daily or weekly status report for progress Provide feedback on project performance and product performance Responsible for planning and controlling tests, ensuring they are within budget and on deadline Note any successful past use cases to improve current and future test outcomes Develop testing programs, test data, test cases, and UAT test plans Initiate and implement operational improvement plans to drive productivity and efficiencies Ensure all relevant policies and standards are followed. Review and update policies, standards, and SOPs on an annual basis Represent Singapore Branch in any APAC projects needing country testing sign off Support Head of Operations and Operational Teams, where required. Desired Qualifications & Skillset Holds a bachelor’s degree Passionate about quality assurance Familiar with software quality assurance best practices Ability to read test scripts and scenarios Can identify potential issues before deployment Be aware of project management and agile software delivery Attention to detail and discipline whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to learn new technologies and tools Strong communication skills, with high adaptability Mature, independent, and self-motivated Be a proactive, assertive, results driven individual who can work under pressure Proficient in written and spoken English. Mandarin is desirable Good decision maker A passion for Customer Service Effective change management Team player Be PC literate in MS Word, Excel, Jiraand Access Experience in the use of market facing platforms, policy management / underwriting and accounting systems is preferred A will to win and a very strong & positive CAN DO attitude
