The Business Unit Strategic Initiatives Director works closely with leaders and key internal stakeholders to drive key strategic initiatives and programs for the division. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies, managing analysis and research, quantitative analysis, and modeling that supports the organization's strategic plan. Additionally, the role involves analyzing data to drive fact-based decision-making and providing innovative actionable insights.

While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify and analyze opportunities, and develop thoughtful, targeted research plans given a broad research task with loosely defined objectives.Develop strategic fact-based and market intelligence benchmarking to highlight customer and competitor trends, financial analysis, business practices, and macro issues with potential to address our enterprise-wide priorities.Structure complex and ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, develop innovative business strategies, and make logically supported recommendations.Create processes, tools, and frameworks to enable a consistent strategic planning process across the organization.Tailor communications in method and tone based on the intended audience and purpose. Communications are effective in achieving the intended goal.Facilitate meetings and working sessions with mid- to senior-level leadership.Collaborate with senior leadership to define, execute, and track business strategies that support business growth and regional performance.Standardize data delivery (customer, product, and GTM), eliminating redundancies and evaluating usefulness across the regions.Partner with the Data Enablement Team to develop, implement, and maintain reporting, KPIs, and analytics, driving continuous improvement.Conduct competitive intelligence, pricing, and product analysis.Perform human capital analytics to drive data-driven hiring/staffing model adherence.Play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives, fostering collaboration across teams, and supporting the overall business strategy to enhance the effectiveness of business line programs.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

A master's degree in a business-related field or an MBA is preferred.Highly effective in a team-oriented environment and able to build relationships based on added value, not title or authority.Demonstrated experience in managing multiple, complex projects with a proven track record for results.Experience in successfully introducing and implementing strategic initiatives, best practices, and operational change initiatives.Experience operating in an environment that stresses both individual accountability and team-based performance.A sense of urgency and a continual drive for results coupled with an ability to partner effectively with senior leadership.Proven track record of successfully collaborating with and influencing senior leadership and peers to support growth and financial results
