Education
University degree in relevant area (i.e., science, journalism, health science, social science, health policy, pharmacy); Masters/PhD level of education is an asset.
Experience
Requirements\: extensive written communication experience in any of the following\: proposals, grants, quality/audit documents, policy writing, or other technical document.
Assets include\: analytical abilities; experience with quality management systems/ quality audits/pharmaceutical quality; digital health writing; and/or clinical experience.
French language proposal writing experience a definite asset.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; exceptional organization, analytical, multi-tasking and project management skills; ability to build consensus; demonstrated ability and competency in MS Word including formatting; basic ability in Excel and ability to quickly familiarize with various online submission portals.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
The Business Writer must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all expected tasks and duties as detailed in this job description as well as specific goals and objectives that are agreed upon. The writer must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and should be able to work independently to manage tight deadlines.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the six-month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from employees at the Branch Offices and the National Service Centre, and in addition, will be based on client feedback and the extent to which job performance meets expectations.
