The candidate is responsible for providing purchasing and acquisition support for the daily operations and maintenance required to support all government equipment, systems and property.

 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, quote, and purchase materials and equipment.

Interfaces with all staff members to ensure all purchase requisitions for materials are filled out and submitted for consideration in a timely manner.

Creates and works with the Program Manager (PM) and Facilities Supervisor/Production Controller (FM/PC) to create bid packages for special projects.

Ensures conformance with the FAR when ordering materials and requests for vendor services.

Negotiating and acquiring quotes from vendors.

Works closely with corporate purchasing department to ensure company purchasing/acquisition policies and procedures are strictly followed and adhered to.

Receives and reviews all purchase requisitions from program personnel for purchasing.

Request Purchase Orders (PO) for all approved purchase requisitions.

Establish and maintain a database for all vendors and subcontractors.

Maintain a software and hardware database that contains, as a minimum, the make, model number or version number, serial number, purchase date, contract and contract number (if applicable), purchase price, renewal date, license data, warranty data, and period of performance.

Coordinating logistics for incoming freight and containers with warehouse specialist.

Generates daily, weekly, monthly inventory data reports.

Works closely with the PM and FS/PC towards reducing aging and time sensitive inventory for the program.

Works closely with PM, FS/PC and trades leads to ensure critical spares inventories are maintained and current.

Keeps the PM and Facilities Supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.

Ensure proper housekeeping practices are strictly observed.

Respond to all types of emergency situations, water, electrical, wind, storm etc. 

 

Complete required monthly safety and equipment training. 

Performs other related duties as assigned by the PM and Facilities Supervisor/Production Controller.

 

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

OSHA 10 certification.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) years of experience performing property accountability, inventory, and property tracking duties.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint, etc.

Must be extremely familiar with DoD operations.

May be required to work overtime.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in a Government and/or IT environment preferred.

Experience with the government ARCHIBUS software platform.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available and able to respond to emergency call-ins when required.

May be assigned other collateral duties as required.

 

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. 

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
