Kforce has a client in Saint Charles, MO that is seeking a Buyer who will be managing procurement activities in a manufacturing environment, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels. The Buyer will collaborate with internal departments and ensure accurate documentation of purchasing records. Day to Day Responsibilities: * Sourcing Materials: Identify and source raw materials, components, and finished products required for manufacturing processes * Negotiating Contracts: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable conditions and ensure cost-effectiveness * Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules * Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stocks as needed, avoiding excess or shortages * Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings in terms of quality, price, and reliability * Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as production, finance, and logistics to align procurement activities with business goals * Documentation: Ensure all purchasing records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date, including invoices and purchase orders
