The Buyer plays a pivotal role in ensuring our company’s success. Working closely with the Purchasing Manager and Account Managers, this position is responsible for placing daily replenishment orders to maintain optimal inventory levels across all warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Orders: Generate replenishment purchase orders using an ERP system based on forecast models.Cost Management: Confirm the costing of assigned items on each order and verify agreements with suppliers.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels with a focus on just-in-time ordering practices.Expedited Deliveries: Ensure timely delivery of goods by coordinating with carriers and suppliers to prevent shortages.Transportation: Determine the most cost-effective transportation methods for each order.Customer Collaboration: Manage and communicate with customers and Customer Service to address and resolve any unavoidable shortages.Goods Receipt: Monitor the accuracy of goods received and assess the impact on product shelf life.Supplier Relations: Work with suppliers on availability, pricing, product freshness, promotions, and other relevant factors.Market Analysis: Conduct buy-ins on inventory based on market fluctuations.Account Liaison: Act as a secondary contact for specific accounts, providing communication and assistance.Project Participation: Engage in account-specific meetings and projects as needed.Conflict Resolution: Resolve issues related to distribution centers and suppliers.Multi-tasking: Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills to meet internal and external customer needs.Technology Proficiency: Utilize basic computer and phone skills effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Excellent communication and time management skills.Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.Effective planning and organizational skills.Self-disciplined and motivated.

Education and Experience:

Associate Degree or equivalent.Minimum of three years of prior purchasing experience.

Pay Range:$53,200.00 - $89,775.00
