Summary Statement: Purchase operating supplies and raw materials from established suppliers at competitive prices and establish new suppliers. Work with the Materials Manager to search for alternate suppliers who deliver outstanding services at a competitive prices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Coordinate all aspects of PO’s (receive requisitions from internal customer, pull together necessary     information, write PO’s, issue PO’s, receive and distribute confirmations of PO’s)Coordinate lean concept discussions with suppliersExpedite deliveries as needed by working with internal customers and external suppliersWork with multiple parties, and interface with all departmentsMaintain accurate and up to date purchasing files (Supplier Info, COA’s etc.Relief for receptionist as neededWork with accounting on invoicesHelp shipping with advance shipping notices when neededInitiate Discrepant Work and Materials Reports when need and work with suppliers to close out 8D reports

Qualifications/Special Skills and Abilities

·Requires basic manufacturing knowledge·Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with management, suppliers and internal customersProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skillsAbility to effectively handle time sensitive, critical issues despite setbacks, and obstacles and time constraints with limited supervisionCoordinate meetings and work with support departmentsAdvanced computer and keyboarding skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust have excellent multi-tasking skillsKnowledge of Oracle, Coupa preferred

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or one more related years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
