Job Title: Buyer Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing packaging within the service parts division of our client's Customer Service Division. This role involves analyzing data from internal and external sources using Excel and other proprietary programs, developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies, and managing supplier price change requests, resourcing actions, and market tests. The position also includes leading cost reduction projects, maintaining supplier active pricing in purchasing files, and leading supplier commercial negotiations. The candidate will resolve issues affecting part supply, ensure adherence to global terms and conditions, and meet deadlines for all buyer requests. Responsibilities + Analyze data from internal and external sources using Excel and other programs. + Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies. + Manage supplier price change requests, resourcing actions, and market tests. + Lead cost reduction projects. + Maintain supplier active pricing in purchasing files. + Lead supplier commercial negotiations. + Resolve issues affecting part supply, including distressed supplier situations. + Ensure suppliers adhere to global terms and conditions. + Ensure timely responses to all quality issues and process SREA's and Alerts. + Meet deadlines for all buyer requests, such as Q1 updates and payment terms evaluations. + Manage timely resolution of part sourcing and pricing issues. + Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, tooling, and services. + Assist in resolving cost, quality, and delivery issues affecting supply. + Work with other buyers in both service and production to develop strategies and implement solutions. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferably in Supply Chain or Purchasing. + 2+ years of corporate experience in any industry. + Experience in program or project management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in data analysis using Excel. + Experience in purchasing, supply chain, and logistics.
