Description: • Manage the complete sourcing process from supplier selection to PO issuance • Identify potential suppliers which will improve the overall competitiveness of GM • Lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams • Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers to optimize GM’s competitive position, including General Terms & Conditions and Global Supply Agreements • Manage key strategic supplier relationships and develop relationships with new suppliers • Conduct spend analysis and market research to identify savings and efficiency opportunities Additional Skills & Qualifications: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills. • Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data. • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. • Ability to evaluate suppliers. • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing. • Knowledge of supply chain management. • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. • Bachelors degree in finance or a related business field required OR Associates degree and 2+ years of PURCHASING related experience • Negotiation experience is a huge plus!
