Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team.  Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction and agricultural films.

 

Responsibilities

 

Buyers at Poly-America are responsible for purchasing equipment, goods, services and effectively managing vendors.  A successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories, secure favorable pricing, optimal terms and manage projects in a professional environment. 
 

Develop and execute purchasing strategiesSeek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliersAssess, manage and mitigate risksNegotiate and close deals with optimal termsEnsure timely delivery and completion of requisitioned goods and servicesTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessManage procurement projects and agreementsPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

 

Qualifications

 

A Bachelor’s DegreeStrong leadership capabilitiesSolid judgment and decision making skillsAbility to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the companyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skillsExperience in purchasing or sales preferred
