**Work Shift: On-Site**
**This is an On-Site role based out of our Location in Carlsbad, California.**
The Target Pay for this position is $26.00- $28.00 an hour. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
**Job Purpose/Overview**
The Buyer who plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the purchasing processes and activities working directly with the finance, production and warehouse teams.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Monitors internal min/max levels and vendor safety stock to maximize inventory turns while ensuring material availability.
+ Maintains accurate planning data reports that include lead-times, min/max and safety stock requirements Prepare and submit POs for current line of products, supplies, materials, services, and equipment for delivery at specified time and locations
+ Communicate with the suppliers to set clear expectations of PO requirements
+ Resolves shipment quality discrepancies by mediating vendor/manufacturing issues.
+ Updates purchase order information and participates in weekly order status review
+ Plans, schedules, and monitors of the movement of materials through the fulfillment cycle Responsible for tracking all part shortages for assigned jobs, following up on potential schedule problems
+ Will utilize MRP system to initiate and schedule purchases to meet the needs of company operations
+ Responsibly for executing job duties in accordance with company policy and documented procedures
+ Responsible for accurate tracking of material returned to vendors for rework or RMA within warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
+ Reviews scheduled demand and releases Work Orders to meet scheduled requirements to insure on time delivery to customer
**Education and Experience**
+ BS/BA degree desirable, or equivalent experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Minimum 5 years purchasing/planning experience.
+ Functional knowledge of relevant purchasing/production planning.
+ High proficiency with ERP databases (Intuitive preferred) and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel)
+ Strong teamwork capabilities include the ability to effectively work with leadership, peers and other internal and external individuals through projects to enhance the goals and strategic direction of the company.
+ Ability to effectively work with executive leaders, team leaders, and staff.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Must work well independently and work in a matrix-based organization with minimal direction.
+ Must be able to handle multiple projects and be able to adapt to changes in priority.
**Working Conditions**
The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment including the use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, ERP System, email, and the internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system.
Extensive phone work, typing and data entry (90%). Predominately sitting (85%).
