Position Summary:
This position performs a wide range of purchasing activities in support of the procurement department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning, managing, and executing from start to finish material procurement purchases. Drafting, interpreting, and editing material procurement T&C language. Document control for material purchase orders.Expediting material purchases.Determine whether prices are fair and reasonable and perform cost analysis. Analyze Purchase Requisitions (PR) for appropriate authorization level, specifications, shipping, and delivery requirements.issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ). Administer Purchase Orders (PO) used to purchase material, equipment, tools, and supplies. Provide general support and expertise as requested.Adhere to Alyeska’s Pipeline and Chugach Alaska Services policies, procedures, regulations, and code of conduct.Other Job Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or related field. Two (2) or more years’ experience in commercial, business management, finance or related field.Experience with procuring, sourcing, and negotiating the buying of material, equipment, tools and supplies.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members as well as internal/external stakeholders.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications. Current Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred Requirements
(4) years’ experience in supply chain management, finance, law, or related field. Demonstrated ability to adopt and lead innovation/change to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.Advanced knowledge in commercial discipline: negotiations, sourcing, contracting.Previous TAPS experience.
