You may have also acquired the following skills:
Knowledge of the supply chain management field, practices, and methods. Preferred 5+ years of experience in procurement of products and services to include machined and fabricated components. Possess 2-3 years of commodity management experience and supplier related interfaces. Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience dealing with procurement plan development, contract management, and negotiations. Preferred 1-2 years of experience with SAP enterprise system. Must possess skills in SAP, Microsoft Office, Project applications or related products.

As a Buyer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IBOS Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Framatome Purchasing organization is responsible for cost-effective purchasing/procurement of goods and services per the IB and Corporate requirements to support the Company’s success in meeting customer needs in a timely and cost-efficient manner. The position provides all levels of Purchasing support associated with the various functions and multiple projects performed by IB-A. Specific to this request, the provision of supply & services for outage related business and projects to support work typical to IB-A. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned services, materials and equipment are obtained at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) consistent with set standards of quality, delivery, and service. Your work will include:
Ensures that procurement requirements are understood and that procured products and services meet lead-time, price, and quality requirements.Responsible for writing and launching request for quotation.
Generate and executes Purchases Orders up to a specified dollar amount.
Engages and coordinates with internal customer to identify suppliers and alternates to maintain a competitive market.
Participates as key member of Cross Functional Teams (CFT) in supplier relationship activities such as supplier assessments and supplier development initiatives.
Gathers and reports metrics to assess effectiveness of purchasing/procurement operations.
Performs spend analysis and assist in development of contract strategies.
Actively engages in supplier negotiations and development of framework agreements.
Displays business acumen, professionalism, and responsiveness to colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
