Job Summary:
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall procurement activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of procurement professionals, developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Procurement Supervisor conducts regular audits, reviews procurement data, and collaborates with other departments to address procurement issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing procurement documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on procurement performance to senior management.

Managing Procurement Process
• Overseeing and managing procurement activities
• Developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with company regulations and legal requirements
Vendor Management
• Identifying and selecting reliable vendors
• Negotiating and maintaining vendor contracts
• Evaluating vendor performance and resolving issues
Budget and Cost Management
• Creating and managing procurement budget
• Analyzing and minimizing procurement costs
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities
Strategic Planning
• Collaborating with other departments to identify procurement needs
• Developing procurement strategies to meet business objectives
• Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and trends
Inventory Management
• Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting future needs
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
• Managing inventory storage and distribution processes
Risk Management
• Identifying and mitigating potential procurement risks
• Ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures
• Developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
Reporting and Analysis
• Compiling and analyzing data on procurement activities
• Generating reports and presenting findings to upper management
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Team Management:
• Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
