Summary


A QRC Tactical Buyer plays a role in procurement and supply chain processes within the QRC network. They will have a critical role in our QRCs by guaranteeing the quoting and purchasing of OEM, subcontracted components and services at the best conditions of price, quality and deadlines, in accordance with recommendations of the global Supply Chain Team.

In this role you will develop and implement purchasing strategies by supporting the Commercial Operations and Planning teams regarding advance procurement activities, developing our strategy in the engineered markets, with the goal of increasing our profitability and our on-time delivery.
 

Responsibilities & Requirements

Execution of Just in Time principles in the supply of all materials required for the complete manufacturing of the facility. 

Develop and maintain new suppliers that understand the Quick Response business model for swift and stellar results 

Work with Com Ops, engineer and planning department for the specification clarification and order placement.

Liaise with site requesters to drive spend through suppliers on our AVL when applicable 

Conduct supplier audits with the QA Team for the best possible supplier partnership 

Negotiate the best prices and commercial conditions to ensure best supply of components maximizing profits. 

Maintain all supplier documentation (CMTRs, ISO Docs, W9, NDA, etc.) 

Support the service centers at customer quotation stage to achieve the best quotations to ensure a competitive advantage edge on pricing and delivery terms. 

Support CommOps and Planners with documentation to submit purchasing requests for compliance controls. 

Operate in full compliance to all Flowserve Policies and Procedures as applicable to the site and role. 

Spot sourcing on the part requirement and third-party accessories 

 

Preferred Experience / Skills

Proficiency in tactical purchasing processes 

Diploma / Degree in relevant field and 1-3 years relevant experience 

Analytical, results oriented, proactive and organized 

Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels 

Experience with ERP Systems and Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) will be added advantage

Strong negotiating skills  

Good understanding of all the main purchasing areas: negotiations, evaluation and development of suppliers, supplier quality, logistics etc. 

Knowledge and implementation at the purchasing level of technical requirements and quality related to products
