Position Overview:
The Assistant Buyer will manage the purchasing process, ensuring the timely placement of orders, effective supplier management, and resolution of any issues related to deliveries and invoices. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring orders are placed and delivered on time, addressing any issues promptly.
- Support supplier relationships to guarantee on-time delivery and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with the collection and validation of Service Centre reports, ensuring timely updates and accuracy in Fusion systems.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to supply chain processes and proper order placement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring accurate order placement and timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with supply chain processes, systems, and best practices.
- Collaborate with approved suppliers and resolve any issues promptly.
- Promote continuous improvement within the Supply Chain Management function.
- Support professional development and seek growth opportunities within the team.
- Uphold high standards of health, safety, quality, and sustainability.

Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience with contract sourcing, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations, including:
Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015).
Procurement Act 2023 (PA 2023).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end public procurement processes, including tendering and evaluation procedures.
- Previous experience in system implementations, particularly within financial systems.
- Practical knowledge of using JAGGAER or similar procurement software such as Ariba.
- Strong communication abilities, with a proven track record of managing procurement events (ideally 5-10).
- Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
