Apply now! **Location:** 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 **Job Description:** **Position Summary:** This role is responsible to assist the buying team with paperwork and maintaining procurement records to include purchase orders, billing, credits, deductions etc. Assist in maintaini inventory levels and arranging for the timely delivery of products from vendors to assigned distribution centers. **Here’s what you’ll do:** + Compile and maintain information and records to prepare purchase orders and edit purchase requests. + Maintain procurement records, prepare or verify documents, and compile data; receive and respond to a variety of routine requests by phone, in person or written correspondence. + Monitors product handling by tracking dates, updating inventory lists and selling products prior to pulling. Maintain company standards for Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), fill rate, inventory levels, and budget turns for assigned items/categories, and may identify aged and/or at-risk inventory. + Handles customer credit approvals, vendor deductions and keying orders. + Maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional business partners and external vendors/suppliers. + Maintain files and records of inventory and delivery materials. + Perform a variety of clerical duties including filing, copying, answering phones, responding to inquiries, creating or running reports as requested. + May assist with the creation and tracking of billings, credits and vendor deductions. + Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. **Here’s what you’ll need:** + High School Diploma (Required) or GED required. + Two years general office experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and secondary education. + Good written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills. + Must have attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and effective organization and prioritization skills. + Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required. + Basic knowledge of procurement principles and skills preferred. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
