Buyer

This position will provide administration of general purchasing and subcontracting. Responsible for the negotiation, execution, and documentation of master vendor agreements and change orders.  Maintains updated vendor qualification documentation and certificates of insurance.

Functional Areas of Responsibility:

Administration of general purchasing Master agreement administration Vendor and subcontractor certificate of insurance compliance Vendor and subcontractor pre-qualification and requalification Vendor and subcontractor negotiations Process subcontractor and vendor change orders Relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration & Planning

Process and administer formal purchase order and subcontract agreements as assigned Perform a detailed review of master service agreements for buyout purpose and awards agreements when negotiations have been concluded Ensure that subcontractors have all required bonds and insurance policies in place before allowing work to begin Resolve interpretation/administration of agreement problems as they arise Distribute executed agreements and change orders to project teams Perform other duties as assigned

Scheduling

Execute all agreements in support of required jobsite schedule

Technical

Bachelor’s degree in related field required Read and interpret contract language Negotiate agreement terms with vendors and subcontractors Ability to discern and mitigate contractual risk

Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
