Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Buyers for work in the Decatur, AL area. \n\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen\nResponsibilities include requisition writing, delivery notifications, equipment\/truck management (tracking, inspections, repair, maintenance) \nPer diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in\/near the Decatur area.\n\n

Functional Requirements:
Solicit quotes \/ bids for goods and services in accordance with Corporate Procurement Policies and Procedures,
Prepare bid tabulations and perform evaluations considering price, terms, delivery, past performance, etc. to
determine successful bidders Award Purchase Orders, Keep accurate and extensive records of all purchasing
activities, Gather market trending data for supervisor's review and analysis, Submit recommendations for new
suppliers as needs \/ circumstances arise, Reconcile invoice \/ purchase order discrepancies for payment by
accounting department, Negotiates vendor terms, prices and schedules delivery using knowledge of budget and
schedule requirements, Adheres to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures, Uses knowledge of material
work planning and methods engineering processes and procedures to coordinate product deliveries, Negotiates
best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on budget and schedule requirements, Uses knowledge of
machines and equipment to schedule items necessary to continual production cycles, Perform additional
assignments per supervisor's direction.
Qualification Standards:
\u2022 4-year degree (technical or business) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a
related field, plus minimum 12 months material management or purchasing experience or equivalent
combinations of education, training, and related experience, preferred
\u2022 Experience in the purchase of coded vessels, rotating equipment, mechanical equipment, electrical, and
instrumentation.
\u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
\u2022 Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation, research, and analytical skills.
\u2022 Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
\u2022 The ability to manage high workload involving multiple priorities.
\u2022 Experience with material, service, and project procurement.
\u2022 Experience with cost analysis, cost savings and supplier negotiations.
\u2022 Experience in a plant environment (preferred).
\u2022 Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and
Contraband Policy.
\u2022 Applicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the
workplace.
Physical Involvement:
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level;
maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating
objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment;
carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing \/ sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling;
crouching\/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator
and other PPE; typing \/ data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud
environment\n
