Job Summary 

Under general supervision, performs basic professional purchasing activities with respect to readily available and commonly used supplies, materials and services of a routine nature.  Ensures proper business needs are being met by evaluating suppliers and quotations to obtain best price possible with keeping quality, service and delivery requirements in mind. 

Responsibilities

Procures and sources parts and services for the MRO procurement function of the company location or product line assigned. Analyzes quotations and evaluates suppliers for the purpose of making recommendations. Creates, compiles and distributes Request for Quotes to suppliers. Processes all maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) purchase orders. May assist in identifying and analyzing cost savings and negotiating price reductions. Assists with contract development and execution with suppliers. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. 0-3 years of relevant experience.  A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.  Knowledge of Purchasing procedures and terms. Good written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills. Competent level of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to calculate mathematical figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work as part of a team.

Salary Range CAD $54,800-$68,400.
