Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Buyer I uses prior experience and/or education in the material planning and procurement of best cost, quality, service and delivery for an assigned category of goods in an engineered to order environment.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Coordinate with A/P to resolve receiving and invoicing issues, weekly, to ensure on-time payments to Chart suppliers (Corcentric). Seek, recommend, and implement continuous improvement strategies. Assist in supplier sourcing analysis, providing recommendations for new supply options. Ensures adherence to the Reservations of Authority before procurement of any good or service. Expedite orders. Submit new supplier and supplier re-activation requests through Vendor Portal. Provide vendor quotes for material RFQ’s from all departments. Seek, recommend and implement continuous improvement strategies. Assist in supplier sourcing analysis, providing recommendations for new supply chain options. Contribute with developing and implementing global supply chain management strategies. Maintain accurate recordkeeping and provide reports on various phases of activities. Open purchase order report – review weekly to ensure material OTD Supplier on time delivery Tactical cost savings Serve internal and external customers through prompt & professional responses. Your Education Should Be… 2 years or greater experience and/or a combination of educational accomplishment. CPM or CPIM certification is a plus. Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Must be able to remain sitting for prolonged periods of time. Your Professional Experience Should Be… Excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office products. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with JD Edwards software preferred Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills.
