Overview Position Summary: Responsible for drafting, creating, and issuing project specific purchase orders and subcontracts upon receipt of approved requisitions. Communicates with vendors on the development of contract documents, including terms and conditions. Coordinates with Procurement leadership if negotiations are needed related to contracts. Follows and maintains processes and systems utilized by the company to perform procurement related tasks and functions. Works collaboratively across the organization and actively supports the company’s values and beliefs. Location and Travel: This position is open to a hybird schedule with being in the office 3 times a week. This is open to any of the following office locations: Clinton, IN; Fargo, ND; Indianapolis, IN; Phx, AZ. Responsibilities Create purchase orders with necessary exhibits, attachments, terms, and conditions from approved requisitions on projects as assigned Create Subcontracts and Master Service Agreement (MSA) work orders utilizing company templates and best practices, negotiated agreements, applicable exhibits, and attachments on projects Verify purchase requisition data and clarify unclear items through timely and detailed communications with requisitioners, subcontractors, and suppliers Create contracts with minimal guidance Utilize company master agreements in the creation of applicable contracts Recognize deviations and assists with vendor negotiation on project specific contract terms and conditions while elevates issues to procurement leadership as applicable Communicate with commercial services, legal, permitting, and insurance to ensure vendor requirements are captured in contracts Consult with Procurement leadership, Preconstruction, and/or Legal in the event an override of standard Terms & Conditions is requested Adhere to and provide input to Procurement leadership on company guidelines related to contract creation and approvals Track purchase order and change order completion through all approval and execution stages to ensure it is invoiceable and interfaced with accounting Assist in creating and analyzing data related to procurement key performance indicators Enter and maintain all pertinent data in the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and project management platforms Communicate with procurement coordinators on required information related to project specific contracts Communicate purchase order or subcontract information to accounting for receiving report verification and to support processing of necessary payables Support project closeout through administrative and purchase order completion Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or construction management preferred Three to five years of experience in procurement or business-related field Experience in commercial construction/EPC industry and/or supply chain preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to work well within a team Demonstrates knowledge of procurement practices and creation of contracts Ability to negotiate contracts and terms and conditions prior to execution Familiar with procurement software systems and ERP systems Strong computer (Word, Excel, Adobe Pro) skills Effective time management skills Works efficiently and calmly when tight deadlines or other stress factors arise Decisive, shows advanced problem-solving capabilities What's in it for you: Financial Wellbeing Compensation $63k-$85k / year, commensurate with experience Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care) Health & Wellness Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children Diabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan, Pet Insurance Family & Lifestyle Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Bereavement Leave Military Leave, including Differential Pay and Benefits Continuation Employee Assistance Program Planning for the Unexpected Short and long-term disability, life insurance, and accidental death & dismemberment Voluntary life insurance, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity coverage Emergency Travel Assistance Program Group legal plan Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
