Job DescriptionLocation: Tifton, GA (100% Onsite)
As the Buyer II, you will assist in determining the quality and order date for materials needed to meet the production needs. Initiates purchase or production requisitions as appropriate.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Maintain appropriate inventory levels using MRP and reorder point planningManage the purchasing cycle, including converting requisitions to purchase order, PO follow up, material receipt, and invoice reconciliationAssist in developing and maintains supplier relationshipsIdentify and resolve supply issuesExpedite critical ordersResolve invoice discrepancies, including pricing, unit of measure, and receiving discrepanciesValidate and meet the monthly inventory days of supply by product code and facilitates the reduction of excess inventoryResponsible for the key metrics of network and facing fill rates, days of supply and inventory versus planAssists in coordination with Sourcing, Demand Planning, Deployment Planning, and Material Master in planning executable inventory levels Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
A bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 1 year of related experienceAPICS or equivalent certification preferred.Developing understanding of the product life cycle and underlying business planning requirementsUnderstands how role impacts the department and the organization and make system configuration recommendations to improve processes based on this understandingExcellent communication and presentation skills. Good organization skillsStrong attention to detailSolid Customer Relations skillsInventory analysis proficiency; good analytical, mathematical and problem solving skillsProficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Good knowledge of SAP or other advanced planning system TechnologyKnowledge of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, inventory planning
The Compensation range for this position is approximately $62,000 - $81,900 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
