The Spartanburg operation is a state of the art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting a full beverage distribution center. Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location. The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of High Performance Teams. All associates at the Spartanburg site will have accountability to a functional business unit in addition to the full site operation. The site will run on state of the art enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.
Our Product Supply team is responsible for all Indirect Materials used in production of finished product. Will be responsible for supplier relationships, inventory level management and purchase order dispatching for some families of indirect materials, as well as maintenance of item attribute data in the system. Responsible for fulfilling the increasingly complex material management requirements, increasing SKU mix, and importing of products.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working normal business hours 8am-5pm Monday-Friday onsite here in Spartanburg. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. Responsibilities:Identification of indirect material requirements in both quality and quantity specifications for informing RFP or RFQ projectsProject participation; internal within site and network. Management of specific supply relationshipsLogistical management of supply to Spartanburg locationEstablish and maintain appropriate inventory levels for assigned indirect materialsCoordinate with multiple departments to include scheduling, production, and maintenance at both the site level and across the greater supply chain network management of multiple suppliers for the Spartanburg locationCreate and place purchase ordersWork with other sites within the network in management and disbursement of materials to ensure availability of materials to meet network requirements of finished goods. Participation in meetings with other sites, suppliers and mutli-site. Work with other departments in determination of approved supplier for MRO products. Management of vendor setup within Spartanburg for MRO suppliers. Process orders/returns for Maintenance Spare Parts; maintain vendor part numbers in material master data.Participate in Kaizen/RCCM events pertaining to Procurement issuesFollow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and proceduresWhat you will do:
PO Generation: Create and manage purchase orders for designated raw material categories, ensuring alignment with production requirements and inventory levels.Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to reduce service risk, confirm order details, and address any issues related to raw material purchasing.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained and adjust orders based on demand forecasts and production schedules.Cost Control: Work with Material Planners to understand forecast and purchase materials accordingly to reduce excess working capital.Quality Assurance: Ensure that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications set by the company.Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to purchasing, such as delivery delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies in orders.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, planning, and sourcing, to ensure alignment and support overall business objectives.
