Job Description Purpose

As a Buyer in Indirect Procurement, you are responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services required for project or operations execution. This role involves negotiating contracts and commercial terms, and ensuring timely delivery to support project and operations timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans based on project requirements, timelines, and budgets. Supplier Sourcing: Follow strategic sourcing frameworks and evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery standards. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while mitigating risks. Coordinate with the Category Management team as needed. Purchase Orders: Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications and company policies. Cost Control: Align procurement activities with budget constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Reporting: Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on procurement status, risks, and mitigation strategies. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
