For our plant based in San Sisto (PG) we are looking for a Buyer Indirect Spend.

 

SCOPE:

Within the local company strategy and working according to the BC sourcing policy for indirect spend, the buyer indirect spend :

manages all indirect spend for Italy plant (Opex and Capex), looking for both short term opportunities through spot buy reduction and long term opportunities through strategic sourcing activity;

support projects from a sourcing perspective for the other italian plant on an ad hoc basis, depending on the needs and investments of the plant;

represents the BC sourcing department in the indirect spend area for Italy plant (San Sisto) for both technical and non-technical spend, advocating procurement and sourcing, demonstrating added value for BC;

spreads and implements purchasing processes as a constant reference for stakeholders and internal customers;

builds and maintains Supplier relationships with the objective of reducing costs, eliminating inefficiencies throughout the Procurement Cycle and being a representative of our company’s core values;

analyzes the market finding for opportunities to improve the suppliers base with the best possible alternatives according to the sourcing policy;

develops strategies and tactics – together with the business - to give our company a competitive advantage in either technology or cost.

 

The jobholder reports directly to the Purchasing Director Indirect Spend Western Europe

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

EDUCATION

Master degree 

Purchasing certificate / degree or relevant work experience

Advanced training in MS Office (Word, Excel) and SAP, Maximo a plus

Languages: Italian, English (mandatory)

 

EXPERIENCE

Purchasing in indirect environment in food, pharma or chemical industry min 3-5 years

High level of knowledge in purchasing methodology 

High level of knowledge in Purchasing  Excel, SAP and or Maximo

 

KNOWLEGDE OF SPECIFIC BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING

Knowledge of purchasing processes, proven negotiation skills, analytical capabilities

Strong communication, planning, organization, analytical and problem solving skills

 

LOCATION: San Sisto- Perugia (Hybrid)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%-20%
