Buyer / Planner 

Location: Lakewood, NJ 
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 
Salary: $63,000-$66,000 annually depending on experience

Buyer / Planner Job Responsibilities:  Develop and implement procurement strategies that align incoming materials with sales and production requirements. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in supply chain processes and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with Production personnel to maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce excess stock while also ensuring no stock-outs. Utilize Business Central for procurement management, tracking orders, and analyzing purchasing data. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient transportation and distribution of materials. Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. Implement category management practices to optimize purchasing decisions across various material categories. Work with Engineering/Production on product flow and configuration management.
Buyer / Planner Job Requirements:  3+ years experience as a Buyer/Planner  Proven experience in purchasing and procurement planning or a similar role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of contract management practices and supplier negotiation techniques. Familiarity with quality management principles related to supplier performance.
