Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Maintains specific data in ERP System + Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. + Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards with guidance from Strategic Procurement team. + Evaluates vendor reliability and reports to Strategic Procurement team. + Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, collaborating with management, sales, production or engineering. + Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines. + Maintains accurate inventory through cycle count process. **Education and/or Experience** Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
