Position Summary:
Major responsibilities of a Buyer/Planner Senior are the overall SIOP of assigned business, management and tracking of inventory / supply levels of the assigned product class to support customer demand thru close coordination with the BBR Supervisor and Category Manager, review and release MRP signals, execution of Purchase Orders, manage supplier delivery and communication, maintain the target inventory levels as specified by the KPI’s. Maintain data integrity of all systems required to manage the assigned product line. Buyer/Planner Senior also support Category Manager and Supply Chain activities and projects that drives improvements.
Handles inventory and supply with critical, strategic, and high spend commodities to support most complex product but still have direct impact to customer satisfaction and Company cash flow thru inventory DIO.
Able to apply knowledge in Sales Inventory and Operations Planning and Analytics across all plant sites and provides analysis and insight to the management and perform periodic analysis to support organization in supply availability, inventory Level, Inventory Aging and Past due reduction. Serves as a go to person and as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Buying/Planning functions in Oracle/SAP of the BBR team.
Helps the Material Supervisor on doing Workload analysis, mentoring, coaching with junior personnel.
A Buyer/Planner Senior can handle non routine and complex problems, communicate information and work under minimal supervision. Also supports other core supply chain transactions related to supplier management and inventory management.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
· Education: 4-year degree related to supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or manufacturing.
· Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience related in supply chain like purchasing and/or supply planning.
· Strong analytical skills
· Demonstrated ability to lead a team/ project.
· Above average verbal and written communication skills.
· Working knowledge of SAP and ORACLE database level systems, as well as knowledgeable in use of electronic collaboration tools.
· Ability to adopt and analyze processes, enact change, think operationally, strategically, and globally to achieve business goals.
· Intermediate knowledge in Excel and Power Point skills, Access PC skills.
· Ability to function well in a high pressured rapid paced, multi-task environment.
Major Responsibilities:
· In conjunction with SIOP goals and directives, do monthly shipment and inventory planning.
· Able to support and serve as secondary backup for Demantra.
· Develop and execute supply chain improvement projects supporting sustainable stock availability and reducing excess inventory.
· Do daily projection of results and identify risk/gap in achieving goals and target for the month in terms of Shipments, Past Due Backlogs and Inventory and report during scheduled team meeting.
· Do inventory excess and obsolete scrubbing and come up for action to reduced and avoid further buildup.
· Monitor Finished Goods inventory and supply levels, assuring that requirements for the assigned product class are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner and that stocking levels (DSA) are maintained within established guidelines to full support customer requirements and Company goals.
· Develop and execute action plans utilizing the system according to standard operating procedure, including purchase order management & execution coupled with coordinating with both internal and external parties, and resolving supply constraints which would impact Total Customer Satisfaction, Supply Availability, and Inventory Objective.
· Review Open Purchase Orders and Backlogs daily to execute expediting and schedule push outs of excess supply to suppliers as required, and update of system dock dates.
· Manage supplier performance specifically related to on-time delivery, quantity, and cost thru focus supplier communication. Escalate issues to immediate superior as needed.
· Do system part maintenance and new part set-up.
· Manage assigned parts in sales force to support customer requirements.
· Serves as the secondary escalation point in the absence of the Material Supervisor and or Category Manager or as needed in resolving critical issue of the team.
· Helps Material Supervisor and or Category Manager on leading and building culture with a strong sense of process ownership, transparency, teamwork process discipline and resilience.
· Perform Project Management Activity.
· Project timeline
· Identify Gaps that will affect success of Projects.
· Facilitates Meetings (internal and external) for update and follow up on task list for completion.
· Work with different person internal and external to address/ resolve potential showstopper or issues that will affect project.
· Create and maintain project dashboard (summary) and all attenuating relevant database needed.
· Able to support BBR Global projects assigned by Material Supervisor and or Category Manager such as but not limited to:
· E-Sourcing activity (RFQ, RFI and Reverse Auction)
· Pricing Analysis/Savings
· Supplier Improvement Drives
· Vendor Management activity (DPO, Vendor sourcing and elimination)
· Leads and collaborates with the BBR and different cross functional team with regards to the following activity in supporting the business on its tactical and strategic business plans.

· Improvement/ Savings Projects
· Kaizen Activity
· Perform other task and ad hoc requested by BBR Supervisor and Category Manager and support Company Activities.
